It’s fine, at its core it’s still a fun log flume, but it just took away so much from splash. There’s so many sections of dead space, and the animatronics, while impressive are not doing anything creative or clever. Basically it’s lacking, detailed sets/populated scenes, a story, creativity, and tension.

Song of the South is a better movie than any of the garbage Disney creates these days. It’s a shame they had to destroy Splash Mountain.

Despite how cool Mario Kart looks and has looked, I’m blown away by the Donkey Kong ride and found out from YOUR channel about the illusion of disappearing mine cart tracks, which is so cool. I definitely want to talk about all this and more with my theme park nerd friend on my channel and shout you out. 😊

I didn’t have any expectations about Dark Universe because they really did keep things super close to their chest. But I think the reason why this is quickly becoming the most anticipated land for me (neck and neck with Super Nintendo World) is because this IP has been dormant for so long that it and Nintendo feel fresh. Now I bet Universal is relieved The Mummy 2013 failed 😂.

I am surprised how many people are bought into the idea that, as a business model, Epic Universe is a sure thing. Comcast is facing some enormous challenges related to the opening and operation of the new park. Finding a few thousand qualified/quality workers to staff the park. Traffic congestion on I-4 and International Drive. Hot weather. Crowd control. Technical problems with rides. All of these considerations can have an impact on the value of a park experience. Especially when it is likely a single day ticket will likely cost more than $150 (plus parking). Cool videos are not evidence of success in themed entertainment. I have a good friend who owns a small restaurant in Orlando. She points out that just because every table is filled doesn't mean the restaurant is making a profit. Good luck Comcast.

Bottom line. The animatronics are great. The interior visuals are awesome… and the ride looks worse. Tiana should have gotten her own story on a new ride. The reskin is worse than the original. They should have left Splash Mountain alone.

He made this 5 months ago, and we come to find out he was spot on correct. This story is just dumb and boring, and the fact that Dr. Facilier isn’t in it, with the voodoo idols singing “are you ready” before the drop is insane. That was one of the most obvious “movie-to-ride” moments in all the Disney movies. They should have left Splash Mountain alone as one of the iconic “Mountains” of the park. If they wanted to build a PatF dark ride, that would have been awesome as it’s one of the best Disney movies to have come out in the last 20 years. But it should have been a standalone, new ride, and it should have gone through the movie story. Disney can’t get out of their own way, their stale and sterile ideas and plans are soaked in dogs&@t.

I suspect Dark Universe will go down as one of the worst things every created. Notice how it was all CGI - this is because UC did not consult operations when planning. Everything is going to be broken down most of the time. The kicker is Universal Creative has not come up with B modes. This is going to be a massive mess for them as those animatronics apparently do not work at the moment and may not work at launch.

0:18 "... delivering unique experiences that you have never seen before." Well ... I mean, yeah ... No one has seen them because the park isn't open yet. Sure hope they get a handle on crowd control, shaded areas (weather/heat) and the technical problems typically associated with new attractions.

It really is the greatest land ever. So many fresh ideas and the most common ones are taken to the next level. I just know this will be my favorite of all the portals and I'm not even a fan of horror.

I was little skeptical with the charter designs not looking like their 1930’s counterparts but I think it will still be a great land overall.

How vindicated does this wise UA-camr feel now!? After the terrible feedback Tianas broke Adventure is receiving in mass every day now for the last 2 weeks? The answer is - highly, satisfyingly vindicated indeed. And so do we.

As a Dutchie (someonen from the Netherlands) it truly makes me proud, seeing someone who is so enthusiastic about theme parks and probably seen a lot, you put Efteling on top of your list. For me Efteling is like my standard of amusementparks, especially when I was in my early teens, I had several years on a row an subscription to the park. I remember several times going there by bike and just had a fun day with my friends amd we biked back at home, just in time for diner 😉 so you can imagine how spoiled and lucky I am/was. It became years later that I realised that we as a Dutch people areucky we have such a gem in our backyard, so to say. And a lot of people do, because there are more childhood memories in that park than that are people in Holland. I'm looking forward to the future and see what the Efteling has in store for us.

... and so here we are. Personally, I think it's funny. A ride at Six Flags over Georgia, that existed before Magic Kingdom was ever built and the inspiration for Splash Mountain is superior in every way possible to this absolute garbage fire of an attraction. Goes to show that the current state of Imagineering at The Disney Company is pitiful and subpar.

Never been to any disney parks, but i'm very upset about Splash Mountain being rethemed. That being said, I am willing to give Tiana's Bayou adventure a chance because I hope to go to one of the parks someday and because it takes place in the bogs of Louisiana which is always a cool location for me.

Wow, Splash Mountain was only 30 years old when it closed? So my parents generation didn't even grow up with Splash Mountain. So why did they make a Song of the South ride for my demographic in the first place? I'm fine with it changing to Princess and the Frog, but they need to make better use of set design, story elements, filling dead space, and adding Dr. Facillier. They debuted this renovation way too soon. This looks like a first draft that still needed to be developed into the final product.

The ride is nothing like eas promised, and how do you grow anything in a salt mine? Salt kills plants, and thete is no light. But wait slaves were worked to death in that salt mine depected....

Disney has no real technical or talented people anymore. They higher based on the cult not qualifications. The result nothing works while universtal is building fountans disney is removing them because they dont know how to keep them running. Disney employees are graded on sex acts not qualifications.

if you loved their stunt show, you should definetly check out the older versions of the show, especially the Police Academy Stunt Show, wich is also available in english and there are videos of the shows at both parks (this one and WB Movie World Australia, wich was the same show, but mirrored bc its australia lol) and also A Criminal Affair, wich ran from 2006 - 2011. This one and Police Academy are the best shows i've ever seen. Great stunt work, creative practical effects (wich are all missing from the current shows), funny dialogues, well known voice actors, and lots and lots of fight scenes. Way better than the car based shows from the last few years and the current show. the only show I know of, wich I think is better than those, is the Water World show at USH. When you understand german, the current show is a little cringey and the story is very boring. But I imagine when you don't understand a word, the might be good haha. Oh and one ride you missed, and should check out next time, is Excalibur, an immersively themed rapids ride, wich is located at the very back of Nickelodeon Land, right next to the Studio Tour, but hidden behind a little forest.
